Summary: Vujadin Popovic, former Chief of Security of the Bosnian Serb Army’s Drina Corps and Ljubisa Beara, former Chief of Security of the Bosnian Serb Army’s Main Staff, were sentenced to life imprisonment for committing genocide and crimes against humanity and violating of the laws or customs of war in Srebrenica in 1995. Drago Nikolic, former Chief of Security for Bosnian Serb Army’s Zvornik Brigade, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for aiding and abetting the Srebrenica genocide, crimes against humanity and violations of the laws or customs of war. Radivoje Miletic, former Chief of Operations and Training Administration of the Bosnian Serb Army’s Main Staff, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for crimes against humanity and violations of the laws or customs of war in Srebrenica. Vinko Pandurevic, former commander of the Zvornik Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army’s Drina Corps, was sentenced to 13 years in prison, Ljubomir Borovcanin, former deputy commander of the Bosnian Serb Interior Ministry’s Special Police Brigade, was sentenced to 17 years, while Milan Gvero, the assistant commander for moral, legal and religious affairs of the Bosnian Serb Army’s Main Staff, was sentenced to five years.
