Summary: Azra Basic, a former member of the Croatian Defence Council and the 305th Brigade of the Croatian Army, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for war crimes against civilians in Derventa in northern Bosnia. According to the verdict, she was guilty of participating in the killings, torture and inhuman treatment of Serb civilians from April until May 1992 at the House of the Yugoslav People’s Army and in the village of Polje in the Derventa municipality.
