Summary: Milan Babic, who between August 1991 and February 1992 was the president of the government of the self-declared Serbian Autonomous Region of Krajina, then president of the Republic of Serbian Krajina, unrecognised wartime Serb-led statelet in north-eastern Croatia, was sentenced to 13 years in prison for persecution on political, racial and religious grounds.
