Summary: Goran Hadzic, the former president of the Serbian Autonomous District Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srem and subsequently the president of the self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina, both self-proclaimed rebel Serb entities in Croatia, died before his verdict was handed down. He had been accused of participating in a joint criminal enterprise which resulted in the commission of numerous crimes against non-Serbs in Croatia.
